1The pitch
Mio writes science fiction, Zoe writes fantasy. A company wants to steal their ideas with a machine that simulates their stories, and they end up trapped inside it. They have to work together to escape, jumping between their two very different worlds.
2Playing together
Like It Takes Two, mechanics change constantly: hoverboards, dragons, gravity tricks, chases. Optional side stories add short, wild experiments. Both players always have something different and complementary to do.
3Who carries who
Balanced for two, with generous checkpoints. A newcomer can keep up with a more experienced partner.
4Look & sound
Spectacular visuals and huge set pieces, switching between neon sci-fi and lush fantasy.
5Setup & value
Two players only, online or split-screen. Friend's Pass means only one player needs to buy it, and online play works across platforms. An EA account and internet connection are required. Verified on Steam Deck.

The verdict
Verdict
“Split Fiction is a dazzling two-player blockbuster that never stops inventing. Pricey and short on replay, but unforgettable while it lasts.”
