1The pitch
You are a Helldiver, an elite soldier of Super Earth, fighting bugs and robots across the galaxy. The tone is satirical, parodying military propaganda. A shared community war decides which planets are under attack.
2Playing together
Missions are built for teamwork: you call in stratagems such as airstrikes, turrets and supplies by entering quick directional codes. Friendly fire is always on, so mistakes are deadly and hilarious. Coordinating objectives and covering each other is essential.
3Who carries who
Difficulty levels range from easy to brutal. Experienced players can carry newcomers on low difficulties, but higher levels need a coordinated team.
4Look & sound
Excellent visuals, explosions and sound design. Battles look like war films with a comedy twist.
5Setup & value
Online co-op for up to four, with cross-play on console. It is a live-service game with optional paid content. Check the current account requirements on the Steam page before buying. Rated Playable on Steam Deck.
