1The pitch
Each run is a new restaurant. During the day you cook and serve; between days you choose upgrades, place appliances and plan the layout. The goal is to survive increasingly busy services.
2Playing together
Up to four players share the kitchen. It is less frantic than Overcooked and more about planning: one player designs, others handle stations. Late game, conveyor belts and automation turn the restaurant into a machine you built together.
3Who carries who
A planner can carry a group early; later, everyone needs to contribute. It works perfectly solo too, which makes it flexible.
4Look & sound
Clean, colourful 3D with a top-down view that keeps everything readable even when the restaurant is packed.
5Setup & value
Online and local co-op for up to four players. Verified on Steam Deck. Free updates have added new dishes and themes.

The verdict
Verdict
“PlateUp! is the thinking group's cooking game. It is calmer than Overcooked, deeper in the long run and very replayable.”
