1The pitch
You and up to three friends are scouts stranded on an island. The only way out is up: a towering mountain whose layout changes every day. You climb, rest, eat whatever you find and try not to fall. It is short to explain and endlessly funny to play.
2Playing together
Climbing drains a stamina bar, and injuries, hunger and cold shrink it further. The best runs come from teamwork: one player hauls another up a ledge, someone shares food, someone carries the rope. Proximity voice chat means you hear your friend's panic as they slip just out of reach.
3Who carries who
There are no classes, so roles come naturally: the careful planner, the reckless scout who finds the shortcut, the one who always has a snack. A stronger player can genuinely carry a newcomer, which makes it a great game for mixed groups.
4Look & sound
Simple, colourful low-poly art with lovely lighting at altitude. Physics-driven animations make every stumble look ridiculous, which is half the charm.
5Setup & value
Online co-op only, up to four players, and very cheap. It runs on modest PCs and is Verified on Steam Deck. Voice chat is strongly recommended.

The verdict
Verdict
“PEAK turns climbing into the purest kind of co-op: everyone needs everyone. It is cheap, fresh every day and full of stories you will retell. Our top pick for a group of friends right now.”
