1The pitch
Your team of paranormal investigators visits haunted houses and buildings. You set up equipment, gather evidence and try to identify which type of ghost is present.
2Playing together
One player watches cameras, another reads EMF, another asks the ghost questions out loud. The game uses voice recognition, so the ghost can react to what you say. Splitting up is efficient and terrifying.
3Who carries who
Experienced players know evidence types and ghost behaviours; newcomers can learn by watching and handling equipment. The learning curve is real.
4Look & sound
Atmospheric, dark environments and excellent sound. VR support makes it even scarier.
5Setup & value
Online co-op up to four players, with VR and non-VR players together. Early Access, internet required. Rated Playable on Steam Deck.

The verdict
Verdict
“Phasmophobia is the scariest co-op game here and one of the most unique. Learning it together is half the fun.”
